GOZAR OF ARTISANS

An initiative by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, Okhun Gozar is the transformation of a historic 18th-century mosque in Tashkent into a contemporary Craft Salon, reimagined by designer Nada Debs. Set within a restored architectural framework, the space brings together Uzbekistan’s rich craft traditions with a contemporary design language, creating a living environment where heritage is preserved through use rather than display.

The salon presents works from artisans across the country alongside contemporary designers, positioning craftsmanship as an evolving cultural practice rooted in both memory and innovation. Studio Limbo led the branding and brand development, while also managing the social media presence, shaping a cohesive identity that reflects the depth, materiality and cultural significance of the space.
